Our Story

Pridgen Woodwork Inc., established in 1947 in Whiteville, North Carolina, is synonymous with quality craftsmanship. Our journey began with Ernest Pridgen, the founder, who developed a deep love for wood from a young age. This passion for woodworking was passed down through generations, forming the bedrock of Pridgen Woodwork Inc.'s enduring success.

Ernest's vision has matured over the decades, evolving from modest beginnings crafting furniture to occupying a sprawling 59,000 square-foot facility today. This growth mirrors his unwavering commitment to quality and dependability, principles that have become synonymous with the Pridgen name. After 55 years of dedicated service, Ernest retired, leaving behind a legacy of rich traditional values that continue to guide the company. The responsibility of carrying the torch fell upon his sons, who proudly inherited their father's meticulous craftsmanship and patient dedication to excellence. Now, six of Ernest's sons collectively own and operate Pridgen Woodwork Inc., each actively involved in different facets of the business.

Our team of 45 skilled craftsmen and 30 experienced installers take immense pride in every project they undertake.
