Our Story

As a young girl, Joanne Hoffman, CPA, CFE, MBA, had a passion for numbers and a commitment to excellence that would define her career. With over 23 years of public accounting experience, Joanne has been instrumental in the growth and development of our firm. Her tenure with the firm began in September 1999, and she has since become an expert in forensic accounting, research in financial statement fraud, theft, and fraud in corporations. Throughout her career, Joanne has pursued extensive training and education to become a master of her field, earning an MBA from Utica College in Economic Crime and Fraud Management.

Jim Short, CPA, CITP, CVA, brings over 34 years of public accounting experience to the firm. With his extensive background in accounting, Jim has expertise in forensic and valuation services, as well as management consulting, tax and estate planning, personnel planning, and overall cash management issues for non-profit and for-profit organizations. Jim is an avid golfer and enjoys attending baseball, basketball, and hockey games with his family.
