We purchase sustainable coffees directly from producers and through brokers who share our goal of making coffee a sustainable commodity. We are a company that is 50% women-owned, and we are dedicated to creating an amazing cup of coffee. We are proud to have been named one of the 28 Best Coffee Roasters in America 2022 by Gear Patrol, and to have won the Good Food Award five times (2016, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022). We've also been recognized as one of the 12 best coffee roasters in the U.S. by Forbes, and have received numerous awards for our exceptional coffee.

Meet Our Founders

Michael Johnson, our founder, is a Q-Grader and has been in the specialty coffee industry for many years. He is passionate about the people in the coffee industry and the unique coffees that can be found in various growing regions. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors.

Laura Salinger Johnson, our co-owner, is a writer and editor with a background in the coffee industry. She is passionate about the people, places, and unique tastes that can be found in the specialty coffee industry. When she's not working, she enjoys reading, exploring, traveling, and spending time with her family.
