Our Story

Founded in 1991 by Richard Gardner, Gardener's Used Books and Comics started as a small used bookstore with limited inventory. Over the years, the store has grown exponentially, becoming the largest used bookstore in Oklahoma and a premier destination for book lovers.

Our Services

At Gardener's Used Books and Comics, we offer a wide range of services to our customers. We buy, sell, and trade various forms of media, including books, audio books, comics, music, visual and interactive multimedia, and more. Our extensive selection of over 800,000 to 1 million books, 23,000 square feet of space, and knowledgeable staff make us a one-stop-shop for book enthusiasts.

Trade Policy

We offer a competitive trade policy that allows customers to bring in items they are finished with and receive trade credit. With this credit, customers can select from our vast inventory of merchandise at a discounted rate. This policy encourages customers to clear out their unwanted items and find new treasures at our store.

Condition and Quality

We take pride in the condition of our merchandise. As a result, we are unable to make offers over the phone. When customers bring items to trade, our associates will inspect the condition and offer a fair price. We reserve the right to refuse any merchandise that does not meet our quality standards.

Our collection spans across various genres, including mysteries, fiction, classics, Oklahoma, Native American topics, martial arts, survival & self-sufficiency, and recent textbooks. Whether you're a casual reader or a collector of rare books, we have something for everyone.

About Us

Richard Gardner, our founder, started Gardener's Used Books and Comics with a passion for books and a vision to create a premier bookstore for book lovers. After years of hard work and dedication, Richard passed away in 2017. However, his family and employees continue to carry on his legacy, ensuring that his lifelong passion for books remains alive.
