Berns Garden Center & Landscaping is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the community for over 65 years. Our mission is to provide high-quality plants, landscaping services, and expert guidance to help our customers create beautiful outdoor spaces that bring joy and serenity to their lives.

Our Story

Our journey began in 1956 when Al and Cherie Berns purchased a small greenhouse and a home on one acre of land on Yankee Road in Middletown, Ohio. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our business to include four divisions: Berns Landscaping, Personal Gardener, Berns Production Greenhouses, and Berns Garden Centers. Today, we operate 360 days a year and employ 50 to 125 employees seasonally.

Our landscaping teams are credentialed professionals who work hard to provide customized landscapes that fit our customers' spaces, thrive in local conditions, and bring them joy season after season. We also offer garden center services, where our knowledgeable staff can help customers select the perfect plants and supplies for their gardens. Additionally, we provide personal gardener services, where our experienced gardeners can help customers maintain and care for their gardens.
