Welcome to our establishment, where we are thrilled to share our passion for wine, food, and community with you. Our journey began with a simple enjoyment of wine, which eventually led us to open our own winery after two decades of homemade wine-making. With the help of our friend Chuck Park from Charis Winery, our dream of providing a variety of wines for all to enjoy has become a reality. Our name, Toasted Goat, was inspired by a movie scene and reinforced by our friends' approval. We invite you to discover the story behind our name and share in our love for wine.

The Hotel Gunter

Our home, the Hotel Gunter, is a treasure trove of Western Maryland's rich history. This storied building has housed a subterranean jail, a speakeasy during Prohibition, and several other historical businesses. We have taken great care to preserve and restore the hotel's roots, redeveloping many of the original historical businesses within its walls. This includes our restaurant, cafe, winery, speakeasy, hotel rooms, and more. Our goal is to contribute to the revitalization of the beautiful town of Frostburg by attracting business and showcasing its charm.

Our Community

We are proud to be part of the growing Arts and Entertainment District in Downtown Frostburg. Our first step in becoming a part of this community was to move Toasted Goat Winery from its previous location to our current home. We wanted to create an eclectic atmosphere where patrons could enjoy Toasted Goat wines, local craft beers, spirits, and great food. The positive feedback and encouragement from the community have fueled our excitement to open our Brewery and Distillery.
