Our Expertise

Richard Berberian, our owner and lead jeweler, has a long family history of creativity, design, and craftsmanship. His formal education includes undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Lowell, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Boston University. Additionally, Richard is a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) of the internationally recognized Gemological Institute of America.

Our History

The Balian family tradition of creativity, design, and fabrication is manifest in Elyse Fine Jewelers ~ Gemologist. Richard Bali Berberian is a 7th generation creative designer descended from the Balian family. Nine of the Balians served as imperial designers, architects, and jewelers under six Ottoman sultans from the late 18th to the late 19th centuries. The Balian name and creative work is well documented in volumes of historic and public records, and is internationally recognized.

Our Process

Our process begins with a personalized consultation with Richard. This is where we discuss your vision and goals for your jewelry piece. From there, we move on to the design phase, where we create a CAD design of your piece. After the design is finalized, we move on to the creation phase, where we craft your piece using the finest materials and techniques. Finally, we present you with your finished piece, ensuring that it meets your expectations and exceeds your standards.
