Respect. Honor. Remember.

For over 100 years, Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home has been committed to providing compassionate and professional care to the families we serve. Our story begins in 1900 when Martin Joseph "Harry" Stetzer and his wife, Allie, established the funeral home in downtown Morristown, Tennessee. Over the years, the funeral home has remained family-owned and operated, with a legacy of serving the local community with dignity and respect.

Our History

From its humble beginnings in a small frame building on Main Street to its current location on the southwest corner of Main and Hill Streets, Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home has undergone several transformations. In 1921, the funeral home relocated to its current address, and in 2007, the business was sold to Stephen Bales, a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Stephen's wife, Karen, joined the business as office secretary and funeral assistant. Today, Stephen and Karen are the sole owners of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.
