Our History

Established in 1959, Lake Venice Golf Club has a rich history that dates back over 60 years. Our humble beginnings began as the second course in Sarasota County, and we have since grown to become a beloved golfing destination for locals and visitors alike. In the 1960s, we were proud to host a sanctioned LPGA event, featuring future Hall of Fame members Mickey Wright, Kathy Whitworth, and Carol Mann, among others. In 1970, we expanded to 18 holes, and more recently, our 2013 redesign has further enhanced the player experience. Today, we welcome golfers from all over the world to enjoy our unique and natural beauty, without the distraction of developments surrounding the course.

Our Facilities

Our golf course is set amidst 100 acres of picturesque landscape, with no houses in sight. We offer a full practice area, including a driving range, multiple putting and chipping greens, and a casual bar and restaurant overlooking the 18th hole. On days when you feel like taking it easy, our poolside seating area is the perfect spot to relax with a cold drink or a snack. And when it's time to gear up for your round, our pro shop is fully stocked with all the latest equipment and apparel.
