Our History

Our funeral home has a rich history that dates back to the early 20th century. The Thomas R. Ritzel Funeral Home was founded by Christian R. Ritzel in the early 1900s, and it was then merged with the Joseph P. Mahal Funeral Home in 1983. Joseph P. Mahal Jr. was a licensed funeral director who received numerous awards for his decades of service to the community. He was a pillar of the community and is still remembered fondly by many.
