Our Services

Our History and Philosophy
Merryhill Child Care Center has been a part of Newtown for over 30 years, operating as a private, non-profit child care center. We are licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our philosophy recognizes the individuality and uniqueness of each child, creating appropriate activities for their educational, social, emotional, and physical development. We strive to provide a variety of experiences to enhance every child's growth and development, growing positive self-images and fostering confidence in their abilities and talents.
Meet Our Staff
Our staff is dedicated to making a difference in children's lives. We seek out qualified and caring teachers who are committed to providing quality childcare. Our teachers are actively involved in training seminars and are required to dedicate a percentage of their work hours each year to further their education. Each member of our staff is given the opportunity to plan exciting and creative programs for our children using the CT ELDS (Early Learning and Development Standards).
