Promoting Positive Self-Image and Confidence
Our Mission
Caring Children Clothing Children is a local non-profit organization in Martin County, Florida, dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through two primary initiatives: providing top-quality, gently used clothing and fostering a love of reading. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to feel confident and reach their full potential.
Gently Used Clothing Program
Our clothing program offers a lifeline to children in need by providing them with essential items and boosting their self-confidence. We collect and distribute gently used clothes, shoes, and accessories to underprivileged children in the community. In 2021, we provided 30,000 items of clothing to 3,334 children.
Promoting Literacy
We understand the crucial link between literacy and academic success. Our Literacy Program aims to support early childhood development by offering free books and establishing a love of reading in young minds. We also sponsor and train in-school tutors to provide individualized assistance to students struggling with reading or math.
Community Collaboration
We partner with local organizations and agencies to expand our reach and impact. We actively participate in community events and collaborate with groups like the United Way, Indiantown YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, and Eleva8te Hope to identify families in need and deliver essential items directly to their doorsteps.
Dedicated Volunteers
Our dedicated team of volunteers is the backbone of our organization. We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds to lend a helping hand. Opportunities include:
- Customer service and assisting with clothing distribution
- Organizing and sorting donated items
- Reading and math tutoring
- Event planning and fundraising
