Our journey began in the late 1980s when our founders, a Finnish couple, immigrated to South Florida. They established Finn Design, Inc. in 1994 and moved the company to Melbourne in 2001. Since then, we have been committed to providing top-quality interior design, redesign, custom cabinetry, fine woodwork, handmade products, Feng Shui, aging in place, furniture, and accessories.

Our Services

Our team is led by Riitta Ylonen, a state-licensed interior designer, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, and certified Feng Shui consultant. With her extensive expertise in all aspects of interior design, Riitta takes a design from the space planning stage to completion of the project. She prepares scaled floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, cabinetry drawings, and more, ensuring that every project is a success.

Riitta also designs and makes custom furniture, bedding, window treatments, window shades, and upholstered pieces such as sofas and ottomans. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence have earned her numerous referrals from satisfied clients.

Our cabinetry department is run by Juha Ylonen, a master woodworker and bamboo specialist. Juha designs and builds custom cabinetry for residential and commercial spaces, including spas, retail stores, baths, libraries, theaters, kitchens, and home offices. He also crafts custom pieces and offers natural, environmentally healthy finishes and woods in natural colors.

In addition to our interior design and cabinetry services, we also offer Feng Shui consultations to help our clients create a harmonious and balanced living environment. We believe that by applying the principles of Feng Shui, we can enhance the energy of your space and improve your overall well-being.
