Harbor of Hope Counseling, LLC is a professional counseling practice dedicated to putting the overall mental health, well-being, and educational needs of your family first. We are committed to providing the latest mental health counseling services for individuals, couples/marriages, and families like yours. Our services are completely private and confidential, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for you and your loved ones.

We understand that seeking counseling can be a substantial financial burden for many families. That's why we seek to alleviate this burden by accepting most private insurances and Medicaid, but not Medicare. We do not offer medication management services.

Our Founders and Management

Harbor of Hope Counseling was founded ten years ago by Keith Evans, Jr., MA, LPC and Jeni Evans, MA, K-12 Admin & Superintendent. Keith saw a significant need for Christian and Clinical Counseling in Luzerne and Columbia Counties, leading to the establishment of Harbor of Hope Counseling. Today, we proudly serve over 900 members who have sought counseling and/or tutoring services.

Jeni, a K-12 PA Certified Administrator, and Superintendent, manages the business aspects of HOH and works part-time as a math teacher for Liberty University Online Academy. Together, our founders share a vision of providing updated, accurate resources, training, education, and confidential counseling to help families cope with life storms or crises.

Our Services

We are proud to offer a comprehensive range of mental health counseling services, including:

1. LPC Supervision - $50 a session: Our experienced LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) provides guidance and support to aspiring professionals seeking licensure in the counseling field.

2. Individual Counseling: We offer one-on-one sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, addressing various concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.

3. Couples and Marriage Counseling: Our counselors work with couples to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and resolve conflicts in a safe and supportive environment.

4. Pre-marital Counseling: We help engaged couples establish a solid foundation for their marriage by exploring their expectations, communication patterns, and conflict resolution skills.

5. Teen Counseling: We provide specialized counseling for teenagers navigating the challenges of adolescence, including peer relationships, self-esteem, and identity formation.

6. Children's Counseling: Our therapists use age-appropriate techniques to help children express and understand their emotions, promoting healthy development and coping strategies.

7. Family Counseling: We facilitate open communication and healing within families, addressing challenging dynamics and promoting healthier relationships.

8. Counseling for Military Members and their Family: We offer confidential counseling services for military members and their families, addressing the unique stressors and challenges faced by military personnel and their loved ones.

9. No Insurance: $120: For those without insurance coverage, we offer counseling sessions at a rate of $120 per session.
