Schueller Auction

The Ben Schueller Auction Company was founded in 1999 by Ben Schueller, who was born and raised in Maquoketa, Iowa. Ben's passion for working with people and his gift for talking fast led him to pursue a career as an auctioneer. After attending the World Wide College of Auctioneering, Ben worked as a full-time contractor while building his auction business on the side. In 2007, Ben married Abby, and they welcomed their son Lucas in 2008 and daughter Audrey in 2010. With the arrival of their second child, Abby left her full-time job, and Ben decided it was time to expand his auction business. In 2014, Ben and Abby organized the liquidation auction of Banowetz Antique Mall, which included a 3-day internet and live auction. They successfully purchased the 13,000 sq. ft. building that housed Banowetz Antiques, which is now the home of the Ben Schueller Auction Company. Today, the company employs 3 full-time and over 12 part-time employees, maintaining a strong family-owned and operated business with many family members and close friends working together.

Their professional auctioneers and staff, combined with easy check-in and check-out software, provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for customers and clients. They also offer relocation services, including moving, cleaning, and home sale prep, as well as personal property auctions for single items or whole estates. Additionally, they provide free storage for auction items and professional staff and equipment for the protection of personal items. They travel to the upper 48 states and offer a free estimate for relocation services.
