Our Winemaking Process

From hand-stirring our Chardonnay to aging our red wines in small oak barrels, every step of our winemaking process is carefully crafted to bring out the best in each wine. Our winemakers work tirelessly to balance the flavors, acidity, and tannins, blending art and science to create wines that are at once refined and rustic.
Our Vineyards
Our family owns vineyards in Clarksburg, Lodi, and the Sierra Foothills, giving us the freedom to source grapes from the best regions across the state. We work closely with our grower partners to ensure that every grape that enters our winery meets our high standards. Our vineyards are certified under the California Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing, demonstrating our commitment to environmentally responsible and sustainable winegrowing practices.
Our Barrel Program
Our barrel room holds over 95,000 small, traditional oak barrels, where we age every one of our red wines. Our Chardonnay is barrel fermented in new oak barrels, with the lees stirred by hand at least once a month. This meticulous approach allows us to coax the very best flavor from each wine, yielding complex and compelling results.
