Our Story
The word Kla-Ha-Ya, loosely translated to English, means "welcome." It is a very old Native American word used by the Snohomish tribe. Our hospital is named after this word because we want to create a welcoming environment for our clients and their pets. We are a community-oriented small animal veterinary hospital that embodies the community of Snohomish. Our hospital provides the highest quality, up-to-date medical care and diagnostics, and we accommodate emergency cases as well as routine medical, surgical, and dental problems.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of your pets. Our services include general exams, vaccinations, microchipping, dermatology, internal medicine, digital radiography, ultrasound diagnostic, blood and laboratory testing, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dental care, nutritional consultation, and reproductive services. We also provide in-house progesterone testing, transcervical insemination, and semen analysis for our health-tested patients. Our doctors are experienced and dedicated professionals who will provide your pets with the best possible care.
Our Doctors
Our doctors are committed to providing exceptional care to your pets. Dr. Anders J. Thoreson, our lead doctor, was born and raised in Snohomish and has a passion for animals. He has a knack for reading and treating animals and has won several awards, including the Best Junior Handler at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Dr. Thoreson is still involved in dog shows and judges at shows on occasion. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
