Be Green. Save our environment, one tire at a time.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Mississippi Tire Recycling plays a pivotal role in tackling the growing problem of tire waste in Mississippi. We operate the state's most advanced tire recycling facility, equipped to process over 50 tons of tires daily with a commitment to environmental responsibility.

100% Repurposing

Unlike traditional landfills which merely bury or burn tires, we employ a comprehensive recycling process to extract valuable materials from end-of-life tires. 100% of the materials derived from tires are repurposed into various applications, including:

  • Fuel for industrial processes: Recovered rubber chips are used to create tire-derived fuel, powering cement kilns, pulp and paper mills, and power plants.
  • Recyclable materials: Metal from the tires is separated and recycled in separate facilities.
  • Playground surfaces: Ground rubber from tires provide a safe and cushioning surface for playgrounds and athletic fields.
  • Accessories and building materials: Ground rubber and rubber crumb can be used in various construction and industrial applications.

How We Differ

What sets us apart from other tire recycling facilities is our unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility and our advanced technology. We prioritize:

  • Cleanliness: We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout our facility, prioritizing the safety of our employees and the environment.
  • Transparency: We proudly disclose our recycling rates and materials processed, ensuring accountability and fostering trust.
  • Sustainability: Our goal is to maximize the reuse of materials and minimize environmental impact through innovative recycling processes.

Our Process

Our tire recycling process involves a series of steps to extract valuable materials from end-of-life tires:

1. Tire Unloading: Tires are carefully unloaded and transferred onto a conveyor belt.

2. Shredding and Filtering: Tires are shredded into smaller pieces, and the resulting rubber particles are filtered by size and composition.

3. Metal Separation: The shredded rubber is further processed to separate the metal from the rubber.

4. Packaging: Recovered rubber is bagged for shipment to other facilities for further processing.
