Citizens Electric

At Citizens Electric Corporation, we pride ourselves on being a reliable and affordable electricity provider to our members. Serving approximately 27,731 members daily, we operate 2,991 miles of overhead and underground distribution. Since 1993, we have returned over $50 million back to our members. Our commitment to excellence is evident in our services, which include energy-efficiency incentives, such as rebates and programs, to help our members save on their energy bills.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of our residential and commercial members. For homeowners, we provide rebates and programs to encourage energy-efficient upgrades, outdoor lighting, and surge protection. For businesses, we offer specialized rebates and assistance for new construction, energy-efficient upgrades, and workforce grants. Additionally, we provide services for new member information, demand and time of use rates, and vegetation management to ensure safe and reliable electricity.

Community Involvement

At Citizens Electric, we believe in giving back to our community. We support initiatives like Operation Round Up, which helps those in need with heating and cooling assistance. We also participate in programs such as Rural Missouri Scholarships and the Youth Tour, promoting education and leadership among our young members. Our Vice President of Engineering, Dan Coomes, leads our engineering efforts, and our journeyman lineman, Matt Morison, has been recognized for his plans to help electrify a Guatemalan village.
