Prairie Berry Winery

Prairie Berry Winery has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1999. Founded by Sandi Vojta, a chemistry and biology graduate with a passion for fermentation, the winery began as a unique South Dakota experience. Alongside her husband and father, Sandi set out to create something truly special, and that's exactly what they did. Over the years, the winery has grown from a small operation to a state-of-the-art production facility, handcrafting over 1,000 international award-winning wines.

Our Winemaker

Our winemaker, Sandi Vojta, has been experimenting with fermentation since she was a young girl. Today, she brings her passion for crafting exceptional wines to Prairie Berry Winery. With her extensive knowledge of chemistry and biology, Sandi creates delightful recipes and blends that evoke the true spirit of South Dakota and the Black Hills. Her innovative approach and commitment to using only the finest local ingredients make her a driving force behind the winery's incredible success.

Our Wines

We specialize in creating handcrafted wines on-site in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. We offer an impressive selection of wines, including semi-sweet, dry, and dessert wines, as well as low-calorie, low-alcohol options. A few of our praised creations include Isabella, a semi-sweet rose wine made from Isabella grapes; Badlands, a dry rose wine made from Geisenheim grapes; and Brianna, a semi-sweet wine made from Brianna grapes. We also offer unique blends like Anna Pesa Red Blend, an oak-aged medium-bodied dry red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot grapes, and Sweet Wild Plum, a semi-sweet wine made from South Dakota-grown wild plums.

Gen5 Wine Club

Our Gen5 Wine Club gives members the opportunity to enjoy seasonal, pre-selected packs, hand-crafted by our winemaker, together with exclusive wines and perks. Members-only benefits include special pricing, limited release wines, and access to exclusive events. We strive to provide an enjoyable and educational wine club experience, making it the perfect choice for any wine lover.
