Ventura Yacht Club

Ventura Yacht Club, established in 1938, holds the distinction of being the oldest yacht club in Ventura County and one of the most unique clubs in the United States. The club is a full-service facility located in California, between Santa Barbara and Malibu, on the west side of Ventura Harbor with the coordinates 34° 14' 43'' -119° 15' 54''. As a part of the vibrant nautical community of Ventura, the club has been actively promoting safe and enjoyable recreational boating for over eight decades.

VYC Facilities and Services

VYC boasts a well-maintained 91-slip marina for members, a 240-foot guest dock for visitors with yacht club reciprocity, a two-ton hoist, and dry storage spaces for trailerable boats up to 30 feet. The club offers an array of boating activities, social events, and weekend dining options. Additionally, VYC is proud to run a thriving youth program that has introduced hundreds of youngsters to the sport of sailing.

Youth Sailing Program

Our youth sailing program is open to children aged between 8 and 18 years old during the summer months for week-long sailing classes. The program runs from June to August, and children do not have to be club members to sign up. However, spaces are limited, so it is advisable to submit registration forms early in the Spring to secure a spot for your junior sailors.
