Our Story
Welcome to Faria Bakery, where we're passionate about creating delicious, wholesome bread and pastries that bring people together. Our story began as a small cottage bakery in Oak Park, where our head baker, Christopher Beattie, would bake late into the night to fill the local farmers' markets with fresh, homemade goodies. As we grew, we expanded to a brick-and-mortar location in Oak Park and eventually opened a second location in Folsom. Throughout our journey, we've remained committed to sourcing local ingredients and building strong relationships with our farmers.
Our Approach to Baking
At Faria Bakery, we're dedicated to creating bread and pastries that are not only delicious but also nutritious and sustainable. We believe that food should be grown, harvested, and prepared with care and attention to detail. To achieve this, we use whole grains and ancient grains, carefully sourced from local farmers to ensure maximum nutrition and flavor. Our breads are made with a naturally-leavened starter, which gives them a unique, complex flavor profile. We also take pride in our stone-milling process, which uses massive, gentle stones to grind our flour, preserving the natural nutrients and oils of the grain. This attention to detail and commitment to quality is what sets us apart and makes our baked goods truly special.
Our Menu
Our menu is a reflection of our passion for local, sustainable ingredients and our dedication to creating delicious, wholesome food. From classic breads and pastries to seasonal offerings and brunch favorites, our menu features a mix of all-time favorites and new, exciting options. We're proud to showcase the incredible ingredients we source from local farmers, from artisanal cheeses to fresh, seasonal produce. Whether you're stopping by for a quick pastry and coffee or treating yourself to a delicious meal, we have something for everyone.
Our Locations
We're proud to have two bakery locations in the Sacramento area: our flagship store in Oak Park and our second location in Folsom. Both stores offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy our baked goods, gourmet coffee, and other treats. Visit us in Oak Park to explore our original brick-and-mortar location, complete with a cozy bakery and seating area. Our Folsom location offers a similar experience, with a beautiful, modern bakery and plenty of outdoor seating. Wherever you visit us, you'll find the same commitment to quality, sustainability, and community that drives our bakery.
