The Interior Design Association of WNY was established over 50 years ago as a networking source for local designers. While networking remains a vital part of our organization, we also focus on pooling marketing efforts, developing educational programs, and building consumer awareness and confidence. Our association supports community projects such as the Junior League Decorator Show House, Ronald McDonald House, Life Transitions Center, and the Lewiston Christmas Walk Decorator Show House, with all proceeds going towards charitable contributions. By collaborating with other trades, we bring great value to these projects, enhancing aesthetics and becoming an integral part of the community we serve.
As a conduit for consumers, our website allows you to locate a professional with expertise in various services including color palette selection, space planning, window covering, furniture, faux painting, and lighting. Each member's biography details their strengths and capabilities. For our members, we offer educational opportunities, marketing tools, press release services, networking events, resource links, open calls for projects, website exposure, and discussion forums.
Our Board of Directors
Our board is comprised of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to ensure the success of our organization. Our President, Karen Bialkowski, leads the team, supported by Vice President Karen Mattoon, Membership Chair Janet Ramseyer, Monthly Events Chair Mindy Hesslink, Social Events Chair Jennifer Dowdell, Secretary Sandra Reicis, and Treasurer Peggy Morgans. Susan Conley Goltz oversees our marketing efforts.
