WhiteSands Treatment Center, established in 2014, was founded with the goal of raising industry standards with respect to the quality of treatment, comfortability of patients, and increased rates of long-term sobriety. The center's leadership, consisting of CEO Garry Jonas, COO Joseph Ducey, and Clinical Director Dr. Lyndsay Henry, recognized the need for innovation in the field of addiction treatment, as national relapse rates remained alarmingly high and treatment protocols remained stagnant. WhiteSands was created with the vision of providing a treatment program that stood above its competitors and treated patients as unique individuals within a home-like environment.

Providing Truly Individualized Treatment

At WhiteSands, we are dedicated to developing the most comprehensive and individualized treatment program available. We believe that one-on-one care should be expanded within the treatment experience, as focusing on individualizing the treatment experience allows patients to better understand and address the issues underlying their addictions. Our goal is to help those we serve gain a better awareness of underlying emotional challenges, which we begin addressing from the very first day of treatment.

During the first week of treatment, each patient meets with our medical director, clinical director, psychiatrist, and individual therapist multiple times. As a team, we carefully review each patient's needs to determine the best course of treatment, including establishing goals for individual therapy, selecting therapy group options, and determining individualized medical treatment needs. Patients can expect to have 4-5 individual and/or family therapy sessions per week, which requires WhiteSands to maintain a larger number of qualified clinical staff as part of its treatment team.

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Most treatment centers divide patients into one or two tracks with limited options, but WhiteSands offers a variety of specialized therapy options tailored to each patient's background and circumstances. Our individualized treatment approach extends beyond therapy sessions, as we believe in fostering a strong community and support system for our patients.

Our Amenities and Facilities

WhiteSands Treatment Center offers state-of-the-art facilities designed to provide patients with the comforts of home while undergoing treatment. Our Fort Myers residential campus offers all levels of care and features beautifully updated private rooms, spa and therapy rooms, a yoga room, and outdoor amenities including gazebos, walking paths, and a swimming pool. Our Hyde Park (Central Tampa) location offers day-night/IOP levels of care in a home-style living environment with renovated private rooms and comfortable common spaces.

At our Tampa facility, patients can enjoy a range of recreational activities, including a boxing ring and training area, a full range of exercise equipment, and an outdoor seating and lounge area. Our facilities are designed to promote healing, relaxation, and community, allowing patients to focus on their recovery in a comfortable and supportive environment.
