Capital Preparatory

Welcome to Capital Preparatory, a faith-grounded, student-centered learning community in Tallahassee, Florida. We are committed to providing quality education that fosters the holistic development of every child. Our mission is to serve every child through differentiated instruction in a multi-level small classroom environment. As instructors, our goal is to meet every child where they are and facilitate their growth as a life-long scholar, an upstanding citizen, and a child of God.

Capital Preparatory is a positive, parent-involved school that believes cooperation, communication, understanding, and love are the keys to success. We are proud to be a home where students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin can excel to the best of their ability.

Our Programs

At Capital Preparatory, we offer a comprehensive curriculum that is tailored to allow each student to excel to the best of his or her ability. We have four divisions that cater to the unique needs and interests of our students:

• Primary School (Grades K-3)
• Lower School (Grades 4-5)
• Middle School (Grades 6-8)
• Upper School (Grades 9-12)

Each division provides students with a comfortable, supportive atmosphere in which to learn and thrive. The four divisions often work together, or in all-school assemblies and school-wide projects, creating a sense of community and unity.

Academics

Our academic program stresses mastery of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. We work closely with each student to meet these expectations and to ensure their success. Our teachers differentiate at least four classroom elements based on student readiness, interest, or learning profile: Content, Process, Products, and Learning Environment. This tailored instruction ensures that every child receives the education they need to thrive.

Beyond the Classroom

We believe that learning should extend beyond the classroom. That's why we offer a variety of enriching, engaging, and exciting educational opportunities that challenge students to think independently and question truth. Our programs are designed to inspire students and to help them discover their passions and interests.
