Innovative Packaging Solutions

Our wide range of packaging solutions includes printed and unprinted 1, 2, and 3 ply laminated films, paper, and foil; side seal bags, stand-up pouches, 3-side seal pouches, and center seam bags; and surface printed films, reverse printed and laminated films, tri-film laminations, foil laminations, coated cellulose base substrates, polymer coated papers, metallized films, and metallized laminated films.

State-of-the-Art Technology

At Sierra Converting, we utilize the latest cutting-edge technology to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in our production process. Our machine base includes the world's most renowned Flexo Printing press manufactures, offering capabilities up to 10 colors. Additionally, our in-house graphics department provides full digital pre-press services, utilizing the latest software tools and modern equipment.

Quality Control

Our quality lab is equipped to monitor the parameters of our design, printing, and production process to ensure that our packaging materials meet the highest standards. Our in-house quality lab uses advanced technologies such as color spectral structure analysis, OTR, Oxygen Transmission Rate, gas chromatograph analysis, retained solvents, slip/C.O.F, seal curves, and heat resistance to ensure the highest quality of our products.

History

Sierra Converting Corporation was founded in 1924 as Badger Paper Company, producing paper bags and wax paper. Over the years, we have undergone significant changes and expansions, transforming into the industry-leader we are today. In 1991, we relocated from California to Sparks, Nevada, and in 2004, we changed our name to Sierra Packaging & Converting LLC. Today, we operate out of our 170,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Stead, Reno.

Communication Issues

Poor Working Conditions

Antrax mentions working 12 hours a day and 6 days a week, with managers being rude and aggressive. Lopez also expresses dissatisfaction with her pay raise, which was only 50 cents after 3 years of service.
