Rising K Ranch

Rising K Ranch is a premier destination for horseback riding and horse-related services, located near Cedar City, Utah. Nestled against the mountain range that connects Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, we offer guided Utah horseback riding adventures throughout the year, for riders of all experience levels. Our trails take you through beautiful Utah mountain scenery, such as forests, hills, red rock, and streams, providing a true horseback riding adventure while you're visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.

In addition to guided horseback rides, Rising K Ranch offers horseback riding lessons, horse training by Klay Klemic, horsemanship clinics, horses for sale, and a cowhorse experience. For those interested in staying longer, we also provide lodging and a horse motel. Our facilities are open all year, except for Sundays, and we are typically 15-20 degrees cooler than Zion Canyon in the summer.

Horseback Riding Adventures

At Rising K Ranch, we offer five guided horseback riding experiences for you to enjoy. Our Juniper Loop is a 30-minute ride through beautiful scenery, perfect for beginners or those short on time. For a longer adventure, consider our Cedar Trail Ride, a 1.5-hour ride that takes you through the heart of our ranch. Our Sunset Ride is also 1.5 hours and is scheduled based on the time of sunset, providing a breathtaking end to your day. The Half Day Ride is a 2.5-3-hour adventure that allows you to explore the mountains and valleys surrounding our ranch. Our signature Utah Mountain Horseback Ride is a 5-7-hour journey that takes you deep into the Utah backcountry.
