Simple Intervention

Second Chances Comprehensive Services is a caring organization with a focus on at-risk youth in the community. Our founders, Mr. and Mrs. Mason, recognized the need for strong community outreach services that could facilitate and guide individuals with their future endeavors while maintaining family cohesiveness. They founded our organization in September 2008 with a mission to provide second chances through counseling.

Our mission is based on cohesiveness. We believe that children and their families are best served when the family system is preserved. At Second Chances Comprehensive Services, we provide community-based behavioral and mental health services to empower our community, while promoting healthy and resilient lives for children and families.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services designed to help individuals and families achieve mental health peace. These services include:

• In-Home Counseling: Our intensive in-home services and crisis intervention are designed to help improve home safety for families at risk of abuse or neglect and need out-of-home placement.

• Mental Health Skills Building: Our Mental Health Skill Building services provide rehabilitative and support services for individuals with diagnoses consistent with a serious and persistent mental illness.

• Outpatient Care: We provide community-based behavioral and mental health services to empower our community, while promoting healthy and resilient lives for children and families.

• Group Homes: Our resident population consists of men and women 18 years of age and older with a developmental disability diagnosis.

• Crisis Stabilization: We provide therapeutic support and crisis intervention to the individual while developing a crisis relapse prevention plan.
