Mountain Home Lodge: Gateway to Uinta Mountains Adventures
Mountain Home Lodge, formerly known as Mountain Home Inn and Store, has been a cornerstone of the Uinta Basin since its founding in 1952. Our lodge has evolved from a church meetinghouse to a multifaceted destination offering comfortable accommodations, event spaces, and outdoor adventure access. Owned and operated by lifelong Uinta Basin residents Greg and Yvonne Gardner since 2019, we combine local expertise with a commitment to hospitality. Our eight guest rooms, complete with kitchenettes and full kitchens, provide home-like comfort in a remote mountain setting. The lodge serves as a gateway to world-class outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, and snowmobiling in the High Uinta Wilderness.

Our Great Room accommodates family reunions, retreats, and special events, complemented by outdoor amenities like a fire pit and barbecue area. We prioritize personalized service, offering monthly stays and customized group packages. Our partnership with Moon Lake Resort enhances our ability to meet diverse guest needs. Located in a small-town setting 30-40 miles from commercial hubs, we specialize in quiet getaways for nature enthusiasts. Our dedication to preserving this historic property while modernizing amenities ensures guests experience both authenticity and comfort.
