She graduated from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in Seattle in 1992 and further enriched her knowledge through a postgraduate internship at Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China in 1993.
