Dr. Hickerson holds a Ph. D. in clinical social work and has been licensed and practicing since 1994. She served on the faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington for over 30 years, teaching courses in intervention with mental health clients and human development and behavior. Dr. Hickerson has completed extensive research in the dynamics of child sexual abuse by family members, acquaintances, peers, and staff or volunteers in organizational settings.
