For over eight decades, King Realty and Auction Company has been serving the people of Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee. Our family-owned and operated business has been a staple in the region, providing a range of services that cater to the needs of individuals, banks, trust companies, and personal representatives of estates. Our story began in the late 1930s when Paul L. King, Sr. started an auction legacy by joining forces with Homer Wesson and Dewey Mitchell to run the livestock auction for the American Legion in Florence. This marked the beginning of a long and storied history, spanning multiple generations.

A Family Legacy

Paul L. King, Sr.'s sons, P.L. King, Jr. and Henry L. King, took the reins in the 1970s, expanding the business to include real estate sales and auctions. Henry L. King left his banking career to formally establish King Realty and Auction Company, Inc. Over the years, he brokered many notable land sales, including Regency Square (Florence) Mall and Blackberry Trail Golf Course. He served as President of King Realty and Auction Company, Inc. until his passing in 2014. Today, we continue to honor his legacy with a third generation of the King family actively involved in the business.
