Salem Lutheran Children's Center has been a cornerstone of early childhood education in Jarrettsville and surrounding communities for over three decades. As an outreach ministry of Salem Lutheran Church, our mission is to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are deeply committed to partnering with families to foster a love of learning that will extend throughout a child's life.

Our Approach to Early Childhood Education

We believe that the early years of a child's life are a time of incredible growth and development. We strive to create a learning environment that reflects this, where exploration, play, and intentional teaching intertwine to ignite a child's curiosity and passion for learning. Recognizing that every child is unique, we tailor our approach to meet the individual needs of each child. Our teachers are dedicated to creating engaging and personalized learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

Quality Programs for Every Stage

At Salem Lutheran Children's Center, we offer a range of programs designed to cater to the developmental needs of children from ages 3 to 10.

• Preschool Programs: Our preschool programs, available for 3 and 4-year-olds, provide a foundation for future academic success. Children engage in play-based learning experiences that promote language development, social-emotional growth, and early literacy skills.

• All-Day Preschool/Daycare: For working families, our all-day preschool/daycare program offers a nurturing and enriching environment for children aged 3 to 5. Children participate in a variety of activities throughout the day, including indoor and outdoor play, structured learning activities, and enriching experiences designed to stimulate their development.

• Before & After School Programs: Our Before & After School programs provide a safe and supervised environment for children in kindergarten through 5th grade.

A Caring and Supportive Community

We believe that strong parent-teacher partnerships are essential to a child's growth and development. We maintain open lines of communication with families, providing regular updates on their child's progress and opportunities for involvement in the classroom. As an outreach ministry of Salem Lutheran Church, we are also committed to fostering a sense of community and belonging within our center.
