Cypress is an engineering, environmental consulting & planning firm based in the Southeast United States. Our consulting expertise includes a wide range of services such as Engineering & Planning Services, Civil engineering design, Green infrastructure, Coastal engineering design, Hydraulic & hydrologic modelling, Master planning for open space, green infrastructure, environmentally sensitive areas, and coastal areas. Additionally, we offer Environmental Consulting Services, including Environmental surveys and studies, Environmental permitting and compliance, Wetland and stream mitigation banking, Restoration, assessment, and management of coastal ecosystems, Mapping, GIS, and spatial analysis.

We perform civil engineering design and modeling, primarily for projects in areas that are environmentally sensitive, coastal, or flood-prone. We also engineer environmental restoration, cleanup, and green infrastructure projects ranging from stream restoration to hazardous material remediation. Cypress provides land planning services for sustainable development, infrastructure, and ecosystem restoration. Our project experience ranges through the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, and South Atlantic area and spans habitat types and landscape positions including streams, bottomland forests, savannas, forested headwaters, depressional wetlands, estuarine marshes, emergent tidal wetlands, submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV), and living shorelines.

Our environmental consulting services include a wide range of environmental science services, studies, and regulatory compliance, ranging from wetland delineations, endangered species surveys to mitigation planning, banking, and ecological function assessment. Our staff has authored multiple ecological assessment methods in use by federal and state agencies for ecosystem assessment, mitigation, and measuring project performance.

We have been involved in various projects such as the Civil engineering design of low-impact, resilient pier at Shepard State Park Marshwalk Pier, Civil & Environmental Engineering Services, Planning Services for Port of Gulfport, Environmental Site Assessments at Round Island, Intertidal Circulation Enhancement at Bathymetric and topographic survey, and the Restoration of Wiregrass Savanna at South MS Mitigation Bank: Black Creek Swamp site. Expertise & Recognition

Cypress has received several awards and recognitions for its work, including the Gulf Guardian Award in 2015 for its contributions to environmental conservation, and the IDIQ Contract Award from the Mississippi Department of Transportation in 2018. We are also recognized for our expertise in ecosystem modeling and adaptive management plans, as evident from our selection by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources in 2017.
