Not Dot Shop

The Not Dot Shop, located at 127 Main Street in the beautiful village of Geneseo, is a quaint little store where you are treated to a surprisingly fun treasure hunt each and every time that you venture in the front door. The name, which means, no one thing does one thing, typifies the store's philosophy. Grown from a desire to reuse, repurpose and recycle, the store offers a variety of items from pop can top bracelets to valuable antiques.

Our Members

The Not Dot Shop is a co-op store, which means each member is an owner and takes pride in their space and the store. Our members bring with them a unique vision allowing us to offer an enormous array of items for every person and personality. We are a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about sustainability, creativity, and community. Our members include:

• Marcia Sutherland Podhorecki: Marcia came up with the idea for the store 10 years ago when she wanted to have an avenue for her creativity and her desire to reuse and repurpose. She specializes in upcycling and repurposing items to create unique and sustainable products.

• Carol French: Carol joined the shop 4 1/2 years ago and specializes in string art creations, many on old barn wood. She also creates grapevine pumpkins and corn husk wreaths, and keeps a patriotic section year-round with cork and bottle cap USA flags and string art armed forces.

• Maxi Wachholder: Maxi has been a member of Not Dot Shop since the spring of 2012. She is a portrait artist and sells her paintings, prints, and tee shirts with horses and dogs printed on them at the shop. She also sells handmade hats, purses, gloves, and other accessories, as well as a selection of new and vintage jewelry.

• Sandi DeBruycker: Sandi joined the group shortly after the store opened and specializes in a variety of items including vintage clothing, accessories, and home decor. She also helps with the overall aesthetic and design of the store.

Services Offered

At the Not Dot Shop, we offer a variety of services to our customers. These include:

• Consignment Items: We take consignment items and offer a percentage of the sale to the consignor. This allows us to offer a wide variety of high-quality items at affordable prices.

• Workshops: We periodically hold workshops highlighting an artisan's craft. These workshops are a great way for customers to learn new skills and meet our talented members.

• Custom Orders: Many of our members offer custom orders for items such as jewelry, accessories, and home decor. This allows customers to get exactly what they want at a reasonable price.

• Appraisals: Some of our members offer appraisals for antiques and collectibles. This service is beneficial for customers looking to buy or sell items and want to know their value.

Community Involvement

The Not Dot Shop is deeply involved in the local community. We believe in supporting local businesses and artisans, and we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our customers. We regularly participate in local events and host our own special events throughout the year. We also offer special discounts and promotions for our loyal customers and friends.

Store Hours and Location

The Not Dot Shop is located at 127 Main Street in Geneseo, NY. Our hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
