ABC Children's Center

At ABC Children's Center, we are a family-owned and operated business that has been passionately caring for children since 1993. We began serving area families with a handful of staff and children and have now grown to two locations with a combined staff of over 30 teachers who care for more than 200 children.

Our philosophy is based on the belief that children are always learning. Whether they are being rocked to sleep, singing a song at circle time, or being soothed after a fall, they are learning. Our goal is to ensure that they are learning that the world is safe, kind, and full of wonder when they are with us! We believe that if children form trusting relationships with loving caregivers and are exposed to a variety of fun and enriching experiences, they will thrive!

Our experienced, qualified staff are committed to cultivating secure, loving relationships with each child while providing fun, enriching experiences based on the development of the whole child. At ABC, we believe that life is meant to be lived to the fullest, that laughter truly is the greatest of medicines, and that young children don't need grown-up pressures! We want ABC, first and foremost, to be a home-away-from-home for the children we care for. We would love to partner with you by providing a loving, beautiful, happy place for your child to blossom and grow!

Our Program

ABC aims to meet the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of each child in a safe, nurturing environment. The curricula that we use are based on the most up-to-date research in the field of early learning and were written by leaders in early childhood education and development. ABC's curricula align with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards (www.pakeys.org/pa-early-learning-initiatives/early-learning-standards/). As a non-denominational Christian center, Bible-based values, stories, songs, and activities are also a part of our program.

Infants and Toddlers use Kaplan Learn Every Day Infants, Toddlers and Twos (http://www.learneverydayabout.com/). Preschool 3's and 4's use Kaplan Learn Every Day Preschool (http://www.learneverydayabout.com/). Kindergarten Prep uses Kaplan Connect 4 Learning (https://www.connect4learning.com/why-c4l) and PATHS, a social and emotional learning curriculum (https://pathsprogram.com/). Teachers also have access to a wide variety of materials and resources to enrich the development of the children they care for. These materials are selected to encourage cognitive, social, and emotional development, increase cultural awareness, enhance fine and gross motor skills, and to inspire imaginative, creative play.
