At Daily Groceries Co-op, we're more than just a grocery store - we're a community-driven hub that celebrates diversity, shares a passion for healthy food, and invests in our local community. With over three decades of serving Athens, Georgia, we've grown from a small general store to a thriving full-service grocery store that intentionally sources excellent food and products.

Our Story

Daily Groceries Co-op opened its doors in 1992 in response to the closure of Bell's Grocery Store, a small, centrally-located store that had served the downtown area and provided options for a wide variety of consumer needs. In 1997, we outgrew our original home at 197 Prince Avenue and moved to a larger space at 532 Prince Avenue. On July 5, 2023, we moved to our new and much larger home at 1190 Prince Avenue - allowing us to offer a full-service grocery store that can fulfill all of your grocery needs.

Our Services

As a community-owned cooperative, we offer a wide range of services and products that cater to our customers' diverse needs. From fresh produce, meats, dairy, and baked goods to household essentials, pet food, and gifts, our store is stocked with a vast selection of local and international products. We also provide special services such as bread delivery, special orders, and returns, making us a one-stop-shop for all your grocery needs.

In addition to our retail services, we're committed to community outreach and education. We offer workshops, classes, and events that promote healthy eating, sustainable living, and community engagement. Our outreach programs aim to empower individuals and families to make informed choices about their food and health, and to build a stronger, more connected community.
