At Dakota Country Pharmacy, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the best level of care at the most affordable price. We have a wonderful staff with over 63 years of combined pharmacy experience, and we are dedicated to making your prescription refills simple and economical. As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of a first-class pharmacy experience, and we strive to deliver just that to our customers.

Our story began with the desire to provide a community pharmacy designed for you. We are proud to serve the Philip area and surrounding communities, and we are committed to ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. Our staff is dedicated to making sure that your prescription refills are not only simple and economical but also convenient. We offer delivery straight to your door, mail delivery to customers anywhere in South Dakota, and a preferred network pharmacy to save you money on prescription medications.

Our Team

Our team at Dakota Country Pharmacy is led by Courtney Kjerstad, Pharm D., who serves as our Pharmacist in Charge. Courtney grew up in Gettysburg, SD and graduated from South Dakota State University with her Bachelor's Degree and Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2011. She has experience working for large pharmacy chains in Arizona before moving back to South Dakota to become the owner of Dakota Country Pharmacy in 2014. Courtney is involved with the National Community Pharmacists Association, South Dakota Pharmacists Association, and American Pharmacists Association, which all support family-owned, independent pharmacies like Dakota Country Pharmacy.

Joni Parsons, Pharm D., is another member of our team who brings a wealth of experience to our pharmacy. Joni grew up in Geddes, SD and graduated from South Dakota State University in 2004. She began her career as a pharmacist with Walgreens in 2004, working there for 8 years before joining Rapid City Regional Hospital in 2012. Joni has been fortunate enough to work regularly at Dakota Country Pharmacy as well. She enjoys the challenge that the pharmacy profession brings and the opportunities it provides to make someone's day a little bit better.

Milo Zeeb, RPh., is also part of our team. Milo was raised on a farm near Lesterville, SD and attended 8 years of elementary school before attending high school in Yankton, SD. Milo graduated from South Dakota State College of Pharmacy in 1975 and began his career as a pharmacist at a local hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. After working at the hospital for 2 years, Milo moved to Philip, SD and purchased the local pharmacy, which he operated for 34 years before selling it to Courtney and her husband in 2014. Milo still works part-time at Dakota Country Pharmacy and is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the community.
