Butte Dae Myung Martial Arts Academy

The Butte Dae Myung Martial Art Academy is part of the International Dae-Myung Moo-Do Federation (IDMF), a prestigious organization that promotes martial arts globally. Our academy is dedicated to teaching Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Hapkido to students of all ages. We believe that martial arts are an excellent way to cultivate respect, humility, and patience, while also building strength and flexibility, connecting the mind, body, and spirit, developing self-defense skills, and cultivating character.

Our History and Leadership

Our journey began with Grandmaster Jae-Ho Park, IDMF International President, who has been cultivating his martial arts journey since 1944. With a degree in Judo and Physical Education, he has taught martial arts for the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corp, several different police academies, and school programs worldwide. Grandmaster Park founded the IDMF in 1969 and currently resides in Glendale, CA, overseeing the growth of Dae Myung schools internationally. Grandmaster Martin Martin, IDMF-USA President, started his martial arts journey with Dae Myung in September 1973 and has been a key figure in our academy's development. He has been President of the IDMF-USA since 2010.

Our Mission and Values

Our mission is to enhance students' lives both physically and mentally through martial arts training. We strive to create a supportive environment where students can develop their skills, build confidence, and cultivate a sense of community. Our values are rooted in the principles of martial arts, emphasizing respect, discipline, and self-improvement.

Class Information and Fees

We offer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with beginner and intermediate classes from 6pm to 7pm, advanced classes from 7pm to 8:15pm, and Judo classes from 8:15pm to 9pm. The first class is always free, and we offer monthly membership options starting at $45 per month for individuals or $75 per month for a family membership.
