Our History

Allisonville Nursery was founded in 1976 by Jeff Gatewood, who started the business with 15 spruce trees that he hand-dug from a Michigan farm. The original 3-acre plot was part of a family-owned farm that had been in the family for nearly 30 years and housed a flower shop run by Jeff's mother. In 1985, the nursery moved half a mile north to its current location, which now spans 5 acres and includes a 7,500 sqft. garden store and gift shop. In 2020, Sullivan Hardware purchased Allisonville Nursery to expand its offerings and serve the Fishers area, with a commitment to preserving the business's traditions and expanding it into an exciting experience and fun destination for all guests.

Present Day

Today, Allisonville Home & Garden by Sullivan is proud to be a part of the Sullivan Hardware family, offering an ever-growing selection of home decor, gifts, houseplants, and plants. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable experience for our guests by offering a fresh and fun feel in our store and facilities as they discover the best products for their homes and gardens. We are consistently adding new features to our location, such as Maggie's Bistro, which offers casual dining, fine espresso, local craft beers, and a superb wine selection. We also host a variety of community events designed to bring families and individuals together for fun-filled experiences for all ages.
