Environmental Resources

At Albert Frick Associates, we are committed to protecting and preserving the environment. We offer a variety of environmental resources, including wind energy projects and the BioBarrier Membrane Treatment System. We are Maine's authorized reseller of the BioBarrier, an advanced onsite wastewater treatment unit that produces effluent quality of <5 mg/L BOD and <5 mg/L TSS. This system allows for one of the smallest leach field sizes in the state and makes previously "unbuildable" lots "buildable." We work closely with our clients to provide the best possible solutions for their properties while ensuring environmental compliance.

Services

We offer a wide range of services to our clients, including soil tests and septic system design. Our team has designed over 30,000 septic systems in the State of Maine since the company was founded in 1985. We provide cost-effective and functional septic designs to meet our clients' needs. We work closely with homeowners, landscape architects, builders, and excavating contractors to assure that the septic system is sited in such a way so as to blend into the existing landscape and does not interfere with other elements of the lot's design plan.

We also provide wetland delineations and environmental permitting services. The process of developing a lot for new construction or redeveloping an existing lot can be complicated, and environmental permits must be obtained before any phase of construction can begin. Our team of experienced land-use consultants can help you get the permits that you need to begin your project. Wetland delineations are needed any time a landowner has to impact wetland areas during the course of a construction project. We have four Professional Wetland Scientists on staff, and we use the latest technology to provide accurate and reliable wetland delineations.
