Our Program

Bye Bye Mattress is a program operated by Mattress Recycling Council, a nonprofit organization created by the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) to develop and implement statewide mattress recycling programs for states that have enacted mattress recycling laws. We currently provide resources, education, and support for programs in California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

As a leading mattress recycling program, we offer a range of services designed to make responsible mattress disposal easy and accessible. Whether you're a retailer, hotel, hospital, university, military base, or individual looking to dispose of your old mattress, we've got you covered.

Services

• Retailer Take Back: In California, our program requires retailers to offer to take back your old mattress at no additional cost when you purchase a new one.
• Curbside Pick Up: Some local governments may provide a free bulky item pickup, including mattress recycling. Check with your local government to see if you're eligible.
• Drop Off Location: Participating locations offer free drop-off services for your old mattress. View our directory to find a location near you.
• Commercial Volume Program: Businesses with at least 100 mattresses can arrange for a pickup with our Commercial Volume Program.
• Tech Support: Our dedicated team is always available to assist with any technical issues or concerns you may have.
