Welcome to the Greater Philadelphia Society of Clinical Hypnosis (GPSCH), a professional organization dedicated to promoting the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge about hypnosis. Founded in 1959, we are recognized as a Component Section of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and comply with ASCH Ethical Principles and Standards.
Our mission is to bring together professionals in medicine, dentistry, psychology, social work, and related disciplines that share investigative, scientific, and clinical interests in hypnosis. We promote teaching and research related to hypnosis and are dedicated to its appropriate use within the allied health professions.
As a member of GPSCH, you can gain access to consultation, training, and continuing education credits; share and expand your expertise; and find fellowship with some of the foremost clinicians and researchers in the field of clinical hypnosis. We offer monthly meetings and periodic workshops, including Beginner and Intermediate Hypnosis workshops annually, as well as specific subjects related to the use of hypnosis as a method of treatment and a tool to improve health, capability, and human potential.
Membership is open to qualified individuals who show evidence of professional training and experience in clinical or experimental hypnosis. We have five membership categories: Full Member, Associate Member, Student Affiliate, Life Member, and Special Member. Each category has specific requirements, including a minimum of 20 documented hours of basic training consistent with ASCH's Standards of Training in Clinical Hypnosis.
Our organization is committed to providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and the advancement of knowledge in the field of clinical hypnosis. We are proud to be a part of the professional community and look forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals who share our passion for hypnosis.
