Double Groove Brewing Company is a brewery that brings together great beer and music in a harmonious blend. Founded by Craig and Mark, along with their spouses Lisa and Donna, the brewery is a testament to their shared love for classic rock and fine brews. With a vision to offer Harford County, their long-time home, a unique flavor and experience enhancement, Double Groove Brewing Company is more than just a brewery; it's a community of beer enthusiasts and music lovers.

Our Story

The story of Double Groove Brewing Company began with a casual conversation over a particularly bitter IPA at a local brewery. Mark, with his passion for brewing, tasting, and experiencing beer, uttered the words "we could do this!" and the dream of owning a brewery became a reality. With successful careers in executive roles and management, the four decided to take a leap of faith and disrupt their day jobs to pursue their passion. The name Double Groove, a little-known and seldom-used intricacy of the vinyl record industry, was a perfect fit for the brewery, as it reflects the random selection of tracks that a customer may find on different days of the week.

Our Motif

The motif of Double Groove Brewing Company is classic rock, with Craig's collection of over 3,000 classic rock albums on vinyl as the inspiration. While many breweries played vinyl, none had a direct connection between brewing and vinyl, and Double Groove Brewing Company filled that gap. The name Double Groove, with its connection to the vinyl record industry, was a perfect fit for the brewery. Our graphic designer, Megan, Craig's daughter, came up with the perfect name and logo for the collaboration.

Our Team

Double Groove Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated brewery. Mark has a Masters in Biology and a Business degree, Lisa is a CPA with a Masters in Finance, Donna has many years of administrative experience working for a flavor company, and Craig has an MBA and decades of management experience. Our team's education and experience in biology, business, finance, and management make Double Groove Brewing Company a success.

Our Beers

At Double Groove Brewing Company, we offer a selection of finely crafted beers that change with the day of the week. From IPAs to stouts, we have a beer for every palate. Our brewing system, a five-barrel system from American Beer Equipment, allows us to offer a variety of beers for our customers to enjoy. Our first brewing experience together, in Mark and Lisa's kitchen, yielded a winning IPA in a local home-brewing competition, and we have been offering great beers ever since.

Our Venue

Double Groove Brewing Company is located in Forest Hill, Maryland, adjacent to White Tiger Distillery. We found the perfect venue for our brewery and underwent minor zoning legislation updates to secure financing and sign the lease. Our taproom, where the magic happens, is designed with a classic rock and vinyl motif, offering a unique and enjoyable experience for our customers.
