Welcome to Peppermint Junction Preschool & Elementary Academy, a private family-owned early care and education center founded in 1984. We are committed to providing quality learning experiences for young children that are developmentally appropriate and based on recent brain research. Our programs have strong academics in a warm supportive environment with a primary emphasis on the individual child. Our environment is safe and respectful and meets the social, cognitive, emotional, physical and creative needs of children.

We offer a range of programs designed to promote social, cognitive, emotional, creative, and physical growth, as well as character development and life skills that will allow children to have future school success. Our preschool program is a year-round program that runs September 1st through August 31st, and we offer either half-day or full-day classes for non-potty trained children ages 2-3 years old and potty-trained children ages 3-5 years old.

Our academic program is planned to prepare children for future school success, and includes a literacy program, phonics, math, and science skills, music, arts, and crafts. Our classrooms are age-divided with academic learning centers so that your child will have many interesting learning choices each day. We also offer a Transitional Kindergarten program, a full-day Kindergarten program, and 1st-3rd-grade programs, as well as a summer camp program for children ages 5-6.

Our Staff

Our diverse staff of teachers comes with extensive backgrounds in Early Childhood Development. They provide a wonderful blend of experience and knowledge, which they bring into the classroom as they provide children with stimulating and developmentally appropriate experiences in a safe environment. Our teaching staff consists of experienced early childhood specialists, and we value our teachers and know they are the foundation to a successful school.

Academy & Summer Camps

We also offer an Elementary Academy program for children in grades TK-5th, as well as a summer camp program that provides a fun and engaging experience for children. Our summer camp program includes a range of activities, including arts and crafts, music, and physical fitness, and is designed to promote social, cognitive, emotional, creative, and physical growth.

Family Activities

We believe that family involvement is an important part of a child's education, and we offer a range of family activities and events throughout the year. These include parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and other events that allow parents to get involved in their child's education and meet with teachers and other parents.
