Northwoods Excavating Services, Inc. is a small, family-owned and operated excavating business that prioritizes customer satisfaction. With local owners Josh and TD at your service, we aim to make our customers happy by doing our best to help you plan, manage, and complete your outdoor projects on time and on budget. Our goal is not only to meet your expectations, but to exceed them and leave you with a final product that you can be proud of.

Services Offered

*Excavation*: We offer a wide range of excavation services, including site preps, basements, lake shore work, rock retaining walls, demolition, erosion control, and landscaping. No job is too big or too small for us to handle.

*Septic Services*: We are MPCA Licensed, bonded, and insured, and specialize in the design, installation, inspection, and repair of septic systems. We can also repair existing septics and inspect existing systems.

*Hauling and Materials*: We provide hauling services for dirt, rocks, sand, fill, class 5, black dirt, boulders, and more. Whether you need materials delivered or removed, we have the equipment and expertise to get the job done.

*Land Clearing and Road Building*: We offer land clearing and road building services, as well as custom logging with an owner on site. We can help you clear land for a new construction project or improve existing roads on your property.

Areas of Service

We currently serve the Northern Minnesota communities surrounding Grand Rapids, Bigfork, and Nashwauk, with an emphasis in the Balsam area. Our team is familiar with the unique challenges and opportunities that come with working in this region, and we are equipped to handle any job that comes our way.
