Established in 1921, Hotel Charlotte is a California Gold Rush era property listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our hotel's namesake and builder, Charlotte DeFerrari, was born in Genoa, Italy in 1881 and became a legend in her own time after building the hotel on the site of an old livery stable and purchasing the Gem Saloon next door. Today, we continue her legacy by providing exceptional accommodations and service to guests from around the world.
