James, who grew up in Southern Oregon, has exclusively practiced divorce and family law throughout his legal career and is passionate about helping his clients navigate through their legal issues with compassion and effective advocacy.

• Contested Divorce: When a couple cannot come to an agreement through negotiation, mediation, or the collaborative law process, we will help you settle the divorce in court.

• Child Support: We assist in determining the financial support that parents need to provide for their children, including college-age adults under certain circumstances.

• Child Custody: Our attorneys help determine which parent will have custody by considering the factors set forth in ORS 107.137.

• Uncontested Divorce: If you have reached an agreement with your spouse, we can advise you on any issues you may have missed and help you finalize the divorce process.

• Spousal Support: We assist in determining the type of spousal support, such as Transitional Support, Maintenance Support, or Compensatory Support, that is appropriate for your situation.

• Prenuptials: We help draft and review prenuptial agreements, which are favored by the courts in Oregon but require careful scrutiny.

Where We Serve

We serve Jackson County, Oregon, and are available to meet with clients by appointment on Saturdays and during our regular office hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed noon to 1 p.m.). Sunday appointments are not available.
