Our History

Founded in 1943, Misericordia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation owned and operated by the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy, a Catholic religious congregation. We cater to people of all religious faiths, and our mission is to serve our residents with a heart of mercy.

Who We Are

Located in beautiful York County, Pennsylvania, Misericordia is a 50-bed Medicare/Medicaid certified skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Our highly qualified nursing staff provides our residents with 24-hour care for both short and long-term stays.

Our Services

In addition to skilled nursing care, we provide:

• Rehabilitation services: Physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help our residents recover from illnesses or injuries.
• Hospice care: Expert care and support for our residents nearing the end of life.
• Respite care: A break for caregivers who need time to recharge and recharge.
