Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club

Welcome to our 130th Season! The Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club was incorporated in 1895 by the Maine Legislature, although the Club's history dates back to 1870. From its earliest days, the Club has been a racing and social center for the active summers in Boothbay Harbor. Over 100 years later, we are still actively racing through the summer and enjoying activities with an active membership at the club year-round. We maintain a prominent role in sailing yacht racing, with a series of weekly races, junior regattas, and races most weekends of the season.

Our Junior Program offers life-changing opportunities for youth and teens to learn to sail or improve their advanced or racing skills, and to master the tennis court. Whether a novice sailor or an experienced racer, we have a way to improve your skills. Our classes are open to all who are interested. BHYC is a US Sailing accredited sailing school offering intro lessons to Keelboat Certification and beyond.

The Club also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the annual BHYC Regatta and Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge, which draws boats from all over Maine and New England. Visitors can enjoy Club amenities including the dining room and tennis courts.
